Mild decline in cognitive function is characterized by the occurrence of forgetfulness and if it is severe it will cause senility to the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease, a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. Decreased cognitive function can also be caused by a lack of activity in the elderly that involves the brain. So far, processing of plastic waste has been carried out but it is still limited to collecting and reselling it, there has been no attempt to use plastic waste into toys that are beneficial to health and cognitive function. The domino game using plastic bottle caps was created by the team as an activity to support cognitive and social functions for the elderly. Game activities were carried out 12 times for 15 elderly people who were in RT 06 RW 01 Tanjungrejo Village, Sukun District, Malang City. Elderly cognitive function was measured at the beginning and at the end of the activity using the MMSE. The results found are known that although some elderly people experience problems in completing game targets, elderly people who complete game cycles have improved cognitive function. The development and improvement of the appearance of the game set becomes a recommendation for further activities.
Hilda Mazarina Devi Ronasari Mahaji Putri Neni Maemunah Copyright (c) 2024 JPM (Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat) 2024-05-31 2024-05-31 9 1 1 7 10.21067/jpm.v9i1.8880 Introduksi Mesin Pencacah Limbah Organik Portabel Tenaga Surya di Lahan Pertanian Jagung Desa Longalo http://ejournal.unikama.ac.id/index.php/jpm/article/view/9196
Corn is a leading commodity for farmers in Longalo Village, North Bulango District, Bone Regency, however, in encouraging increased agricultural productivity in Longalo Village, there are obstacles related to the limited amount of fertilizer available for agricultural cultivation activities in Longalo Village. On the other hand, agricultural activities in Longalo Village produce waste such as corn litter, rice straw, coconut shells, cocoa pod skins, these plant trimmings have the potential to be used as organic fertilizer, but most organic agricultural waste is burned or thrown away, which has an impact on the ecology and public health. Apart from that, there is no knowledge among farmer groups regarding technological innovations in efficient, effective and economical chopping machines that make it easier to speed up the process of processing organic waste into fertilizer using new, renewable energy, which has caused problems in Longalo Village to become more protracted, therefore the introduction of waste chopping machines Portable organic solar power on land is one way out to overcome the obstacles faced by corn farmers in Longalo Village, North Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency.
Ulfira Ashari Moh. As a result, residents can independently process household waste into eco-enzymes, compost and various handicrafts. So it can reduce the volume of waste in Mojokerto Regency, prevent environmental pollution, and create a new source of income for the residents of Purwojati Village. Until now, the applied drying method still relies on sunlight exposure. Many consider this method inefficient in terms of time and energy usage. The drying process takes several days. During the rainy season, drying becomes challenging, requiring repeated sun-drying for cassava skins to achieve thorough dryness. Production costs also increase. Moreover, there is room for improvement in the marketing process to boost the partner's business turnover. As a solution, the partners have adopted the use of a rotary dryer machine to replace the sunlight-based drying method. The partner's skills in using the rotary dryer machine and in marketing their products through digital marketing methods have also improved. According to our calculations, the partner's revenue target of 12,000,000 per year can be achieved. One of the supportive factors for implementing these activities is the partner's high level of cooperation during the execution of this service.
