PENGEMBANGAN CHATBOT WHATSAPP BERBASIS DECISION TREE UNTUK OTOMATISASI INFORMASI PENDAFTARAN SANTRI BARU DI PESANTREN

Abstract

Digital transformation int he Islamic boarding school environment has prompted the need for a system that can simplify the registration process for new students. This study aims to develop a WhatsApp-based chatbot using the Decision Tree (CART) algorithm as a solution for automating information services and registration forms at the Salafiyah Shirothul Fuqoha Islamic Boarding School Salafiyah Shirothul Fuqoha'. The development method used is a prototyping model with stages of needs analysis, interaction flow design, branching logic implementation, and testing. The chatbot is designed to guide prospective students in accessing information, filling in data, determining dormitoriesbased on program type, and calculating total costs by adjusting to the user's economic conditions. The system was evaluated using a confusion matrix for 25 menu interactions, resulting in an accuracy of 76%, precision of 89.47%, recall of 80.95%, and an F1-score of 85.05%. These results indicate that the Chatbot performs well in accurately responding to structured inputs and is suitable for use in supporting the efficiency of pesantren administration. However, further development is needed in terms of input validation and system scalability.
