Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan konseling kelompok Realita dalam mereduksi tingkat penggunaan internet bermasalah siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group dengan model pengukuran berulang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok realita mampu menurunkan tingkat penggunaan internet bermasalah. Selain itu, ditemukan factor lain yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap tinggi rendahnya penggunaan internet bermasalah, yakni pengambilan keputusan dan pola asuh. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa konseling kelompok Realita efektif untuk mengitervensi penggunaan internet bermasalah, sehingga konselor dapat menggunakan pendekatan ini untuk siswa-siswi ditingkat sekolah dasar.
