PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS MELALUI MEDIA PAPAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Tahapan setiap siklus dimulai dari observasi awal, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi/pengamatan, analisis data, dan refleksi. Sumber data siswa kelas V berjumlah 40 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data : observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data bersifat kualitatif, menggunakan analisis penerapan media pembelajaran papan peta dan analisis prestasi belajar, data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan menghitung persentase kemampuan siswa melalui nilai tes dan di deskripsikan. Hasil penelitian prestasi belajar meningkat. Persentase peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas dari pra tindakan 10% dengan kategori jelek, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 43% dengan kategori jelek dan meningkat lagi pada siklus II 60% cukup baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran papan peta dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas V materi keragaman suku dan budaya bangsa di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: media papan peta, prestasi belajar IPS, keragaman suku dan budaya bangsa di Indonesia ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to increase the learning achievement of social science. This study uses qualitative research approach and Classroom Action Research are planning, action, observation, data analysis and reflection. The data source comes from 40 students of the fifth graders. The data collection methods are observation, test and interview. The data analysis is qualitative that uses the analysis of map board learning media and learning achievement analysis. The quantitative data is analyzed by counting the precentage of students’ test score. The result of research is Enhancement is about 10% in the lowest category increasing until 43% in the low category at the cycle I and 60% in the better category at the cycle II. It can be concluded that the application of map board learning media can increase the achiement of social science the fifth graders for the ethnic and culture diversity in Indonesia.
