PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIFITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR

Abstract

Natural science learning that’s experienced by researcher at SDN Kepatihan with lecture method is less effective. It is demonstrated by the acquisition of learning result with a low or average value still below the KKM Natural science is 74. Therefore other methods are needed to increase activity and natural science learning result. One of the methods is applied to Cooperative Learning Model STAD.  This method gives priority to the cooperation among students in a group. The purpose of this study is: To determine whether the application of Type STAD Cooperative Learning Model can improve the activity and result of student’s natural science learning class 6 SDN Kepatihan. Metode that’s used in this study is qualitative and kind of classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles, which consists of four stages, namely, planning, execution, observation, and reflection. The subjects which used in this study were students of class 6 SDN Kepatihan by totaling 36 siswa. In this research, data is a description from the observation of student’s activity that’s done by colleagues and subject teachers and learning result in the form of learning completeness in each cycle. The result of natural science learning creative research in indicator 1 with indicator 5, both in cycle 1 and cycle 2 can be categorized the activeness of students in the criteria active. The result of this research shows an increase data in student’s learning result can be seen from the increase in average of student’s learning result in cycle 1 by 38.89 % to 72.22 % in cycle 2. From the result of this study it can be concluded that the application of Cooperative Learning Model type STAD to improve natural science learning activity and result. Therefore subject teachers should be able to implement Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD in the learning process.
