Publication Ethics
JIBS (Jurnal Ilmiah Bahasa dan Sastra) is a journal published by Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles in this journal, including author, editor, Editor-in-Chief, reviewer, publisher, and partner.
AUTHOR
- The author writes the manuscript based on the original and accurate research reports.
- The author writes every reference according to scientific writing rules.
- The author ensures that the manuscript has been made free of plagiarism.
- The author ensures that the submitted manuscript has never been published either in any print or online journal.
- The author ensures that research activities are conducted in compliance with the code of ethics.
- When author finds significant errors or lack in the manuscript that has been published, the author is obliged to notify the editor of the journal or publisher and work with editors to retract or correct the manuscript.
EDITOR
Decision of Publication
- The editor of JIBS is responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on input from the results of the review undertaken. Editors can negotiate with the external reviewers in making this decision.
The Principle Of Justice
- Editors evaluate the manuscript regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors..
- Editors make sure that the article corresponds with the focus of the academic field of JIBS.
- Feedback from the reviewers will be used as the Foundation for an Editor to determine whether an article is acceptable (accepted), accepted with revisions(accepted with major/minor revision), or rejected (the decline).
- An article is rejected because of various considerations, such as 1) the article does not correspond to the scope of linguistics, language education, and literature, 2) the scientific side of the writing is not adequate to be classified into scientific writings, 3) there are fundamental methodology errors, and 3) the author refuses to do the revisions suggested by the reviewers without reasonable explanation.
- The published article is based on the order of entry and revisions of the article to the editorial board.
Confidentiality
The editor does not have to provide any information about a manuscript that is handed over to someone other than the author, even the reviewers.
Conflict of interest
Material that is not published but is disclosed in the manuscript should not be used in the research of the editors without written consent from the author.
PUBLISHER
Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang, as the publisher of JIBS, has responded and committed to ensuring that the advertisements, reprints, or other commercial revenue are not having an impact or influence on the decisions of the editor. In addition, Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang and editors will help communicate to other journals or other publishers where necessary.
REVIEWERS
- Reviewers help editors in making decisions, and it will be further delivered to the author. Assistance provided by Reviewers in the review is concerned with the content of the manuscript.
- Each manuscript accepted for review should be treated as a confidential document. The manuscript should not be shown or discussed with anyone else except as permitted by the editor.
- A review should be conducted objectively with the corresponding argument in favor of scientific rules.
